Honestly this is only my second time here but I've been pleasantly surprised both times. So far tried and enjoyed the Taco baskets (chicken), Sofrito bowl (pork), and the Caribbean dog. Fair prices and surprisingly a good selection of beer available. Looking forward to many more meals here and introducing as many people as possible. If you're visiting Cocoa Beach this is the spot!

This place was adorable and served up delicious food! A short walk off the beach for a great meal and great atmosphere. Staff was super friendly and kind but be prepared to wait for your order, everything is made to order fresh so it takes a while. We waited 30 minutes for our sandwiches but it was well worth it!

We stopped by after reading other Yelp reviews. Service was excellent, food was yummy and atmosphere was fun. Felt like a small local spot.

I ordered the Red Snapper & Sofritas Bowl and it was excellent! The cook even gave us a free Pork Sofritas Bowl and that was bomb too! A++

Awesome little place! Was a little nervous about trying it, but all the reviews were good so we went for it. It was really, really good food! Finished the whole Island Wrap. The owners were really nice. Indoor and outdoor seating. Would recommend it to anyone!

I found this place on Yelp, and it didn't disappoint! I love the fact that it has a Polynesian/Hawaiian flare, and therefore, there isn't much competition in the area for this genre of food! I enjoyed the Quinoa wrap with chicken while my mom got the Mahi wrap and her friend got the large Sofrito bowl with beef. We all devoured our meals and raved about the unique flavors. The sauce made my wrap soggy towards the end and hard to keep together, but maybe my chicken addition threw the wrap off. The wraps came with plantain chips and coleslaw while the Sofrito bowl came with cooked plantains and coleslaw. I liked the plantain chips, but the coleslaw could have been a little sweeter. I didn't try my mom's mahi wrap (although she loved it!), but I did try the Sofrito bowl and it was delicious! The prices were a bit high for wraps ($10-12), but the portion sizes justify the prices. We all left overly full and couldn't finish all our sides! Apparently, this restaurant used to just be a window order setting with outside seating, but they recently opened the indoors section which is where we sat. It is very spacious and not properly maximized at the moment. It seems undone, so I'm sure they're still working on it. They can definitely fit some more tables inside, and it'll help for busy times! I also liked that they sell tiki art. I recommend this place for lunch and will be back especially since it is a new craving that can't be filled elsewhere! I can picture myself walking here from the beach for a nice lunch treat in the future!

Great food. Great Service. Delicious and affordable. Loved the Mahi Mahi wrap. Loved the Soarito bowl. They will cater to special dietary requests.

Delicious food and a quaint little place! We went here today for lunch and ordered the chicken tacos on flour tortillas (comes with 3 tacos and tortilla chips and salsa -$9). It was VERY delicious :) I also loved the atmosphere of this cute little casual restaurant. The main hostess/cashier was also extremely nice. No complaints here! I highly recommend this place for delicious food out by Cocoa Beach.

We love it every time we eat here! The food is fresh and taste great. The fish tacos are my current favorite. Great selection of beers. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

Great food! They're very accommodating and were able to adjust our order. Family friendly and a great, casual atmosphere.

It was one of those days where we just kept striking out. Headed to the beach only to be met with rain and cloudy skies on the way. Walked to our go-to lunch spot (Fat Kahunas) only to find it was closed. Luckily our third strike never came! Yelp directed me to The Tiny Turtle, and I am so glad it did. This is a charming, tucked away casual place that should not be missed on your next trip to Cocoa. I had a small pork sofrito bowl--"small" is subjective here, I hardly finished and it was only $5. They slow roast their pork for 10+ hours. If you are a meat eater, you really can't do better than that. It was juicy and flavorful and accompanied by the perfect amount of rice, beans, guac, etc. My boyfriend got the mahi taco basket, which he really liked. He was expecting a classic fish taco presentation, so the beans, cheese, and tomatoes were a surprise, but the fish was incredible. Grilling the tortillas was an appreciated touch. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough of the great guac and the coleslaw was under seasoned. Out the door for 2 with beers for just $28? Good enough for me.

Nice to go to a place that my vegetarian wife loved more than I did. she had the quinoa bowl. I had to sufrido bowl with pork, both were quite enjoyable.

One of my favorites! I love the atmosphere, the kind staff and the FOOD! such a wonderful idea to blend Asian and carribean together

My wife and I had the Islander chicken wrap and the small sofrito bowl with chicken. Both meals were delicious. The wrap was nicely pressed, and the small bowl was plenty filling. The pulled chicken was seasoned well. As always, my Lagunitas was delicious, and I'm glad to see it on the menu. The employees were super friendly and helped to explain the menu since it was our first time. I'm looking forward to trying Mahi tacos next time. Seating is outside right now, but they are opening up inside within a week or so. Great little place, check it out. Update: I had the Mahi tacos and they were awesome! They put some delicious sauces on top of the fish for a little extra flavor. The only negative for me was the watery and bland salsa that came with the tortilla chips. It was completely void of flavor and tasted like canned tomatoes with no seasoning.

  • John M.

Sofrita and tripoleta sandwich where excellent! They smoke the meat for at least 8 hrs and it really comes through. Ingredients were fresh and everything except the bread was made daily.

  • Dana S.

Not only is the turtle tiny, but so are the portions. Food is awesome, but small portions, and they were out of guac.

  • Katy D.

I got the pork bowl, and thought it was very good. My husband ordered the Tripleta sandwich, and thought it was just okay. If I'm in the area again, I would probably go back.

  • Paige B.

Tried this place for the first time today and it was amazing! I got the Islander wrap and it had a lot of great flavor and not too much or too little of any of the ingredients. The art work in there was awesome too and I really enjoyed the relaxing reggae music too. Definitely will be returning!

  • Carrie B.

The Mahi Mahi Wrap was so delicious! I also tasted the Grilled Caribe Shrimp Salad special and the flavors were amazing! The plantain chips are light and tasty as well as the slaw. The owner loves to make new creations all the time so you never know what will be in store next! It keeps you coming back for more.

The chicken taco basket and the pinchos are awesome. The family owned appeal is great and you can tell they appreciate you.

Great place. Excellent food every time at a good value. Classic Cocoa Beach vibe! We always enjoy dinner here. The Tiny Turtle is always consistent and although the menu is small the selection is good. The food is always good and the atmosphere is relaxed. Highly recommended and well worth the effort! I've had the Pincho's, Mahi Taco's, and the Baby Back ribs that were on special. All excellent and decently priced.

  • Will Y.

Tiny Turtle is Tops, have fresh food many options for everyone. Outdoor space for many indoor as well to chill on hot summer day after beach. I love the quinoa bowl comes with coleslaw and fried plantain. Friendly fun fresh and fast just two blocks off the beach on the main street, minuteman downtown Cocoa Beach Florida, Yum!

I've been here 3 times and I'm finally writing a review. I have ordered 3 different items each time and feel now I can write an honest review of the Food. It's really good! The Mahi wrap was my first meal and I about died at how huge it was. The flavors all blended well. My 2nd meal was the Mahi Tacos, I know I have a theme of Mahi going here, but I have tried the ribs which were a special one night and finally tonight the Pork Sofrito Bowl. Everything I've tried has been delicious. Good portion sizes. Excellent value for the price. My only negative thing is about the salsa. I prefer chunky, theirs is very puréed. I honestly don't think there isn't anything on the menu I wouldn't try. Next time I'm going for the Tripleta.

    (5)
  • Martin M.

The food is excellent and the owner is really nice. Apparently he started his restaurant as just a little walk up window. Now he has a great space where he shows off the work of local artists. It is just off the main drag right next to an ice cream shop (also animal themed).

  • Martina K.

SO yummy! Little place which my parents were skeptic about at first, but one bite of their meal and there was silence...delicious! We did not have to wait too long to get our food and portions were VERY generous! I loved the Quinoa Bowl while the rest of my family enjoyed the Sofrita Bowls and Wraps. No complaints! I HIGHLY reccomend coming here when visiting Cocoa Beach, you really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu!

  • Brandon S.

They've done some serious renovations and are still in the process of expanding. Located about 2 blocks from the beach. It was dead on a Saturday afternoon, not sure tourists are venturing this far away from the Coconuts area. Friendly service w/ some tasty, reasonably priced food and drinks. Nothing really spectacular about the place per se. It's just a good spot to grab lunch when beachside. I'll check back in a while when the construction in the rear is completed.

Delicious and fresh!! I thought the Tripletta was my favorite but than the Philly Caribe walked into my life! Stay is always friendly.

My wife and I just had the Tripleta Sandwich. Great Sandwich and great prices. To top it all we had the Parcha Cheesecake. Wow! Great food. Great service in an informal ambiance. Recommend it 100%.

  • Rob G.

Summary: Awesome Caribbean food. Tasty and filling. Reasonable prices. Great people. Weird hidden location. Food Loved it. We tried the sofrito pork and the pinchos. Everything was tasty. All other thins on the menu looked awesome (triplets sandwich, Quinoa bowl, wraps, etc). A bit of a different menu... No excuses to eat crap when this is an option. Prices Affordable. For $10 you can have a nice filling meal. You can't beat these prices for arty island food. Ambiance Beachy. Guys without shirt, and ladies in their swimsuits. There is no indoor sitting, just outdoors, which I think makes it even more interesting. Sort of like a food truck feel to it. Location Hard to find, as it is hidden behind other big restaurants and is not on the main roads. No dedicated parking spaces like other restaurants around, so have to make time to park on the street and walk over. Overall, a treat. Loved it.

Love the Tiny Turtle..Food is fresh, fun and delicious. Family owned and operated, super nice family and amazing food. Tried the taco basket the 1st time, one pork, one chicken and one beef-yum. Next time I went in, tried the Tripleta Sandwich. OMG this thing is enormous! Its like a cuban sandwich on steriods.

Found this place on yelp like many other people who have written reviews for this particular restaurant, and the reviews for it definitely give it justice. The prices were great, the menu was short and sweet, and the food was delicious. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and he was a very personable guy, very down to earth, and took pride in the food he served. Doesn't hurt that the recipes were from his abuelas kitchen. Great place, highly recommended.

My husband and I were both happily impressed with the food. I ate every bite of the Sofrito Bowl, and my husband devoured the Tripleta Sandwich. Well done, Tiny Turtle!

Tonight we had a marvelous dinner at The Tiny Turtle! Three adults and two children all enjoyed their dinners so much that we will be back again this week! I had the pulled pork sports. The pulled pork on top of the black beans and rice came with guacamole, sour cream and the perfect spicy drizzle. Tow fried plantains and a Caribbean slaw topped off this awesome meal! The other two adults enjoyed the mahi mahi wrap and tacos. Both were delicious dishes. We settle on this restaurant because they also had a nice children's menu that had a variety of items. We found a picnic table outside and enjoyed an outdoor meal which as Midwesterners we had not done in a while!

  • Nick S.

Great lunch stop. Great ambience with islander music playing puts you in the right mood to eat the island inspired meals. Food is fantastic as well. Hasn't been crowded each time I've come but I'm not sure why because I think this has become my favorite casual eatery in town. Try it out!

  • Haley L.

Small little place, but they have big flavors! I had the sofrito bowl and I ate every bite! This place is a bit small, but that shouldn't stop you from trying their food! Food here is affordable, but delicious. Give this place a go!

  • Greg W.

Small little place that i would have never found if it werent for yelp. Fantastic food, will be back for sure Currently outside seating only but inside looks near completion. Good times!

    (5)
  • Tammy R.

This was our first time here. We were not sure what to expect but the reviews were very good. It was a very warm day and they only have outdoor seating. They are working on opening up an inside in the future. I had the mahi tacos and chicken tacos. They were good. They made him a common mistake with the Mahi in that they did not cut out the bloodline from the fish. But other than that if it was good. They had no fountain drinks available because the machine was being connected to the new location. So the beverages were lukewarm at best. There were a lot of flies so they do need to put some kind of fly bait out. We would go back again if we were in the general vicinity and will try once they open the indoor seating.

  • Cristina M.

Such a great place to go! Definitely go to Taco Tuesday! Everybody is really nice and you can sit inside or outside. Mahi taco is really great :)

  • Liz S.

Enjoyed lunch here today and since it's Taco Tuesday, we of course had the taco baskets. We both ordered the chicken tacos and they were delicious!! Chips & salsa that comes with it is yummy as well. Highly recommend this place when visiting Cocoa Beach!!!

  • Miguel C.

My wife and ate dinner here tonight and I totally agree with the great reviews. I had the fish taco and my wife had the chicken pinchos. Both were delicious and fresh. Staff is very friendly and we like the outside seating in the back. I just wish the pinchos came with rice.

Wow! So food! Much delicious! Amaze! Went here for quick dinner with my husband after a recommendation from the kid working at Fat Donkey's desserts just around the corner. He said "whatever you get at the Tiny Turtle...get pork! it's all made fresh and it's awesome!" So we followed his advice, and got the large size pork Sofrito bowl, and then to karmically balance ourselves got the vegetarian quinoa bowl (which seemed like it could easily be made vegan). It was a frosty 50 degrees out, so we took our food to go since it's just a walk-up window behind where the Mai Tiki gallery used to be. The guy working the window was friendly and told us next time we could call ahead and pick up our food to go, and wouldn't have to wait. The good news was that it didn't take long at all, even though our food was prepared fresh as we waited. How to describe it? Well, I know when I go out to eat, I don't like ordering things that I could easily make at home - well no chance here, because with the awesome Carribean fusion menu there was so much veggie action going on and salty savory flavors and sauces - I don't even know where you'd start. The Quinoa bowl is described as: Quinoa, kale, tomato, peppers, onions, topped with guacamole, black bean salsa, a creamy mayaguez sauce and sweet plantain The Sofrito bowl is described as: Choice of pork (get pork!), chicken, beef (moros), black bean rice, topped with guacamole, sour cream, and a creamy sauce Both of us were full and our total + tip was like $17, so it's perfect for casual cheap eats, for dinner or lunch. Location is weird, it's behind a building, but if you can see Fat Donkey, it's behind there, and there's plenty of parking and outdoor picnic tables for seating. I appreciated that the vegetarian dinner was flavorful, delicious and well prepared, since that's not always the case at most restaurants - the chef mentioned he used to work at a vegetarian restaurant, so that might explain his skills with the veggies. I will definitely be back again!

My husband and I are from Miami and while visiting Cocoa Beach we turned to our trusty Yelp app to guide us in our dining adventures. We came across the tiny turtle and OMG. It was beyond delicious. Its a little whole in wall but, oh so good. I had the Islander Wrap and my husband had the Large Sofrito bowl and it did not disappoint. I wish they would ship. Lol. Definitely recommend it.

Excellent menu. Great diversion from the normal. Love how Caribbean favorites are fused with great creativity. Menu has great specials always something new. Cheap and good.

    (4)
  • Molly D.

Oh my gosh, wish I lived next door. It's so fresh and soooooo good. Cole slaw's main ingredient is NOT junky sugar and the plantain chips aren't too salty (these two traits mean a restaurant is compensating for crap, un-fresh food) I got the mahi burrito and my husband had Cuban. He said it was the best Cuban he has ever had. However, I am so glad I read another poster's comment that you should ignore the outside appearance, or lack thereof, because it's not really visibly obvious. Anyway, go go go. It is the best.

  • Daren W.

My wife and I ate lunch there. We had the Tripleta sandwich and hotdog. We were so impressed we had dinner there also. We had the Sofrito bowl. Everything we had was very good. Very friendly staff. You must try out this place.

  • Jennie M.

Stopped here for lunch after a local recommendation. It was awesome. We both had the trippleta sandwich which was loaded with jerk chicken, ham, pulled pork and cheese, then pressed like a cuban. Delicious and generous portion.

Just amazing fusion food! My only regret is that my stomach is not big enough to eat more.

I had the quinoa wrap. It could have been spicier. My friend had the Mahi wrap. She said it was delicious. The slaw was great!! Definitely home cooked, quality food. I recommend this place highly.

Arrived in area for overnight before departing cruise. Family tired looking for quick bite and I wasn't in the mood for BK or Wendy's. I found this place on Yelp and SO worth it! Picky pre-teens loved the sofrita bowl and tripletta sandwich. When we arrived there were 4 policeman just finishing up their dinner...we knew it was going to be good food! We all loved the Cuban fare, picnic tables, friendly staff, and great ice cream shop next door.

My friends and I went to Cocoa Beach this past weekend for a little get away. This is the first place we ate as soon as we got into town. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Everything was fresh and tasty!! The staff is super friendly and the price is unbeatable. I wish Jersey had a local place like this =)

  • Tricia M.

Yum! We tried this place on Saturday night. It was very quiet, we were the only customers there. Seating is all outside right now, the inside seating is almost ready. But it was a gorgeous Florida evening, perfect for sitting outside. I had the Sofrito with pork, my husband had the Tripeleta. We both really enjoyed our meals. The pork was super juicy & flavorful and the guacamole was just a little garlicky & spicy. The plantains that came with were also yummy. The only part of the meal I wasn't "wowed" by was the coleslaw. It wasn't bad, just ok. You've got to try the Tiny Turtle. It's the perfect casual spot for a beer & good food!

  • Jennifer K.

Visiting the area and stumbled upon this place. Glad I did. Delicious and really fresh food. Enjoyed the quinoa bowl very much. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Casual place. Would like to come back and try the sofritas bowl. Looks yummy!

I had the triple Cuban SAnDWHICH. I had a good talk with the owner of the place thanking them on how good the food was.

    (4)
  • Jenny P.

Awesome food and easy going atmosphere! I had the small beef Sofrito and the chicken Pinchos. The Sofrito was a huge portion especially for the price. Sofrito has meat, black bean rice, sour cream, guacamole and a tangy cream sauce. The different favors meshed well and the small bowl was enough for a meal. The Pinchos has two chicken skewers in a Caribbean sauce. I can't describe the flavor of the sauce only that I ate all of that as well. The owners were very friendly. One of them told me that on Saturdays they smoke meats out on the patio area. If I come back to Cocoa Beach I will try some of the other times. Now I'm very full but happy to have tried this new place.

  • Ron Y.

Went here for the first time and I wasn't disappointed. It's one of those hidden gem little places! It's right near Cocoa Beach so if your hungry after Beach Day you have to stop by in. I recommend the wraps, especially the Mahi.

  • Marie T.

Great food. Laid back atmosphere. Sofrito bowl was delicious... really enjoyed chicken and pork tacos... Has generous kids menu. Highly recommend!

  • DeeAnn G.

We ate there last night and it was fabulous! If it looks like it's closed on the outside, go around the back, it's open and well worth finding! We had the burger, and it was one of the best I've EVER had! Also the tacos were outstanding, and the pork wrap was delicious!! Friendly service and affordable! We will definitely be going back for more whenever we are in town!

  • Vivian W.

On vacation here and was looking for a Vegan friendly place, we were not disappointed! We are traveling with our meat eating friends and everyone was thoroughly delited with our meals!. The quinoa wrap was delish, the quinoa bowl was yummo, the pinchos were perfect and the sofrito bowl was devine! We will be back for sure. They will be opening up thier inside dining room soon, another reason to maje the trip to check them out again!

Had a delicious dinner tonight at The Tiny Turtle! Our party tried the chicken Pinchos, pork Islander Wrap and Tripleta Sandwich. Everything was well seasoned and the flavors were amazing. Like it with a little zing? Ask for some homemade hot sauce to top your favorite dish - you won't be disappointed. Overall, a fantastic meal for a great price. We'll be back!

  • Cassandra C.

I had the tripleta sandwich which consisted of pulled pork, chicken breast, Serrano ham, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and the most amazing creamy Caribbean sauce pressed on Cuban bread. The sandwich was so big I couldn't finish my Caribbean cole slaw or plantain chips. The sandwich was fresh and incredibly flavorful. I actually said "wow" when I took my first bite. The staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere (outdoor picnic seating) very casual. Will definitely be back.

Your money goes a long way here and the food is worth every penny. So much flavor in every dish and the staff are nice people. Keeping this short and sweet on this hot Florida day.

Read about The Tiny Turtle in the Feb.Beaches Resident. It's tuck behind the Fat Monkey on Minutemen Cswy. Sounded so good, we had to try it !! We had the Sofrito Bowl with chicken & Islander Wrap with pork. Both were a generous portion with just the right amount of meat, black bean, guacamole & spice. Plan on going back to try more of these Caribbean Inspired dished!! Great job Matt & Moises, good luck !!!

  • Bull P.

This is a new place and it rocks! I've had about half the items on the menu and all were good, fresh and tasty. It's hard to find good food like this in Cocoa Beach and the surrounding area. I had the smoked ribs today and I started having Hawaii flash-backs. Good attitude and vibe from the staff. I'm surprised there is not a line around the block. A block or so off the beach, semi-hidden and it's a good find!

  • Thao N.

This place gets five stars for the spectacular service. They were extremely attentive, friendly, and even went the extra mile in drawing us a map to Blockhouse Beach. The food was really good too. We had the Pork Pinchos which were really well seasoned, as well as the Mahi and Islander Wraps. Everything was well prepared and fresh. Will definitely come back if I have the chance.

Delicious & unique. Both the sofrito bowl and the quinoa bowl are fantastic and full of exciting flavors. This is a tucked away little gem in Cocoa Beach.

The food was so good. I had the Mahi tacos and I tried my kids Shrimp tacos. Super impressed with both. The playlist was dope. The only problem was that we waited so long for our food. I mean we waited for a good while. The food was good enough and I had nowhere else to be so overall it was a pretty good experience. I recommend you check it out.

I had a business related call from one of the business owners I met last week in Cocoa Beach so I headed down earlier in the day than planned. The staff of The Tiny Turtle was still preparing for the crowd that was expected once the festivities in town began. Once I heard the ribs were ready I ordered a rib plate. After putting in my order it only took about 7 minutes for my food to be brought to the table and the presentation was very nice but the million dollar question... Is it going to meet with MY approval since I will admit that I am a BBQ snob? Let's find out... I started with the coleslaw and the there was a bit more dressing and the seasoning was right on the mark. The toast was a Puerto Rican Sweet Bread that was toasted on the grill. Hiding under the ribs was some yellow rice with black beans and my only complaint was that I would have liked more of it because it was very good. OK OK... Now for the whole reason I came back to The Tiny Turtle this evening... THE RIBS! They were fall off the bone tender with a light smoky flavor and just a hint of seasoning. The cartilage was tender enough to eat and I have to admit that the cartilage is my favorite part of the ribs when they are cooked right. Well done Moses. My personal preference for ribs is to add a bit of Mesquite flavor but that is only because Texas introduced me to the spiciness it adds to the meat. But that is just MY preference so keep that in mind. Last time I checked, Mesquite does not grow in the Caribbean so I will just have to suck it up... giggle That BBQ sauce you had on the side was great. I don't like an overly sweet sauce and this was just to my liking. You might want to put it in a 16 oz jar and offer it for sale. Hint Hint... I could be tempted to make a trip from Orlando to Cocoa Beach every third Friday for your ribs but the lazy side of me will ask if you will deliver them to Orlando? lol OH Yeah... I took 2 orders TO GO so that my wife could feast on your BBQ. She cleared her plate... Hint Hint....

  • Silvia W.

Lucky me I ordered their signature dish....The Sofrito.... the rice was HARD !!!!!, lacking flavor, I did let the server know, and she apologized saying that I got the last scraps of the bowl and they are going to give me another one. However.... Signature dish... = crunchy rice...if they are a good restaurant, it shouldn't had happened in the first place. My family ordered other dishes, the wrap, cuban sandwich and they were all ok.

Amazing food and service! Just what we were looking for in a beach town like Cocoa Beach. The Sofritos Bowl and Mahi Mahi tacos were definitely worth the drive. The serving and price for a kids meal were also great. Really cool artwork.

So happy that fellow Yelpers led us to this place. I had the small sofritas plate with shrimp. Perfect portion size for me. The coleslaw was amazing. I've never liked coleslaw before but theirs is so fresh and cream based it's incredible. My husband had the pork wrap which was equally delicious. Especially the black beans. Basically this place is a win for a deliciously fresh meal.

Great reviews and a promisingly small, specialized menu led me astray in this case. I probably didn't do myself any favors by ordering the mahi mahi wrap. Despite its exotic, cool-sounding name, it's just not a very exciting fish unless someone JUST pulled it out of the water. Here you can tell they didn't - it was sort of grayish and just vaguely fish tasting. I couldn't tell if the guac was good or not because the tomatoes were - they left a sourness that pervaded everything. I did like the mango sauce they put on, though, and dragged the ends of the green, grill-marked burrito through the part that pooled at the bottom. As everywhere, plantains were prominently featured, this time in a little pile of crispy chips.

Well first off let me thank my fellow yelpers for suggesting this amazing place! The prices are great and the food is oh so good! We had the sofrito plate and it was sooo delicious everything was perfectly seasoned. The chips and salsa are amazing as well! I was so pleased! If you are in Cocoa beach make sure you stop by and get a bite to eat and then head over to the fat donkey for desert!

I ordered the "Ocean Wrap" with Mahi. The plate also came with a coleslaw and plantain chips. It was wonderful. Fish was fresh. My wife had the quinoa bowl and she was loving it. The atmosphere reminded me of a awesome beach day culmination in Puerto Rico. This is how it's done. You go to the beach, and then you seek a spot with some great food to finish a perfect day.

The food here is pretty good like most of the places in cocoa beach, but this place really tricks people when it comes to the menu. It said tacos $5 on the menu so I ordered mahi tacos and was told $2 extra for mahi since the order comes with 3 tacos I got charged $2 for each taco !!!!! I COULDN'T believe it. Bill came out for one taco and a hot dog with a few beers for $52!!! I recommend going to long doggers and et good food cheaper drinks and NO TOURIST PRICES like the tiny turtle.

Take the time to go past Ron Jons and go to the real Cocoa. I had the sofrita bowl with pork and chicken. Would definitely get all pork next time. She had the wrap with mahi and loved it.

My wife and I had the Sofrita Bowl and Tripoleta sandwich, they were both fantastic. My sandwich came with plantain chips and a slaw, which were OK, but the sandwich was definitely worthy. Great, fresh flavors in both meals. I'm not crazy about the thin cups the beverages came in, and I didn't see any iced tea. I'll ask if they have iced tea next time I'm in. If you serve lunch in Florida, you gotta have fresh brewed tea. It's great having this addition in the area, and we're looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

In town for a matter of minutes, checked into the hotel and found the Turtle on yelp. Good call. Food fresh and tasty, service (son of the proprietor, we reckoned) personable and friendly. Wife had the quinoa/kale bowl (or something to that effect) and found it "delicious." Sonny ate his whole quesadilla (remarkable) and while it wasn't Fatty Daddy in Brooklyn, he claimed it was a very close second. I enjoyed 3 chicken tacos, generously sized, in flour tortillas with some kind of special sauce on top. Decor sort of nonexistent, a bunch of tiki idols and a few tables inside and out, but family friendly, especially with the ice cream place next door. It's nice to know you can pull into a town like Cocoa Beach and find a place like this so quickly. Wish we lived a bit closer; we'd be back in a heartbeat.

AWESOME! Do not expect fried island foods. ..PLUS, why would you wanna eat anything heavy beachside?

I have enjoyed every dish I have had there so far! The menu items are unique in a very positive way. Tony Turtle is one of my destinations when I am looking for something different. The staff is friendly and the place is well kept. It has a small dining area as well as a couple of outdoor tables.

Sandwiches were good and everything was really fresh! The inside was cute. The burger was a little on the dry side, but my husbands Cuban sandwich was delicious. Perfect lunch stop! :)

Portions are large, food is fresh. Not a huge menu, but a nice mix of choices. You can go all vegetarian if you wanted, not sure on vegan. Chicken, pork and beef choices as well. Nicely flavored- spiced, but not spicy. Meals are served with coleslaw and sandwiches with plantain chips. Chips are fresh, not greasy. All in all, a great place and a great find on Cocoa Beach.

Was stoked to try this after seeing other reviews and pictures. Was completely disappointed when my experience wasn't properly executed. Both the wife and I ordered the quinoa bowl. The taste was a solid five - delish, fresh, and complex flavors. However, looking at the pics others posted we each got one small (one cup, maybe?) of quinoa with cabbage and sprouts - that's it. There wasn't anything else in the bowl. No kale, no beans, nothing else. Again, small little scoop, hardly worth the $10 they charge. They didn't prepare it to menu specifications and it didn't look anything like the pictures. Also, ordered chips, salsa, and guac and was told they were saving the guac for other things. Um, I'm here, I ordered, and I'm paying for guac, what are you saving it for. Maybe I just had a one off experience, because I wanted to like this place but it really fell short.
